DR. ANDREW KIM
Dentist/Owner

Dr. Andrew Kim

Dr. Andrew Kim was born in Vancouver, and he grew up in West Edmonton. After completing his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Alberta, he graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in Ann Arbor, MI, USA. Fluent in both English and Korean (한국어), Dr. Kim believes in the importance of strong communication and commitment to providing excellent patient centred care for the successful oral health of his patients.

It is Dr. Kim’s passion to empower his patients with the ability to act as a significant player in the management of their own oral health. Dr. Kim has spent time on several service mission trips in Jamaica and rural Michigan to provide dental care to underserved communities, and he appreciates practicing all aspects of dentistry. Dr. Kim is committed to lifelong dental education as part of staying current with ongoing dental advances and technologies. With a strong understanding of the correlation between oral health and general health, Dr. Kim looks forward to taking care of your dental health needs.

Since graduation, he has worked at various different dental clinics in the Edmonton Metropolitan Region to gain insight on the different types of dental practice styles. It has been Dr. Kim’s long-standing dream since the age of 12 years old to become an independent dentist clinic owner. His most proud moment is the discovery and ownership of Chappelle Family Dental in the growing community of Chappelle in southwest Edmonton, AB. As Dr. Kim continues his journey in his professional aspirations, Dr. Kim is delighted to call Chappelle Family Dental his permanent dental home, and he wishes to be the first to welcome everyone in the community.

In his leisure time, Dr. Kim can be found across the city exploring local cuisine and festivals along the North Saskatchewan River Valley parks system. His deep passion for the mountains often leads him to hiking and snowboarding in the Canadian Rockies.
